The enterprise was founded in 1924. The new period in the history of Chernivtsi Himzavod has begun since 1994, when the close corporation was formed on the basis of the plant.

Upon completion of the privatization, close cooperation with foreign partners from many European countries radically changed the potential of the enterprise, gave an opportunity to produce 2024 colors and tints of high-quality enamels and paints, 65 colors and tints of toning varnish.
