Application 

The Enamel is used for corrosion and weather impacts protection, decorative multicoloured finish of the building roofs. Enamel «Universalacrylic-199 metal» is applied to paint black, nonferrous galvanized metals, basements and roofs of buildings, metal structures of bridges, buildings and power transmission line towers.

ADVANTAGES 

Enamel «Universalacrylic-199 metal» doesn’t contain lead. It is unique as it provides high adhesion, high-quality resistant coating for ferrous, non-ferrous and galvanized metal, surfaces and products made of these metals. Also it is characterized by high corrosion-resistant coating, highly effective protection against atmospheric and technogenic influences. The enamel has the rich color range.

Protective action mechanism

It is a complex physical and chemical process of interaction of the enamel components with corrosion products and directly with the metal surface. The reactive components, interacting with iron oxidex, convert them into inactive compounds in respect of corrosion. Corrosion inhibitors of mixed action slow down the corrosion process through the protective layer formation on the metal surface. The enamel filmforming agent provides the coating with additional resistance, elasticity, adhesion and tightness in respect of corrosive agents. The total result of the protective effect of Enamel "Universalacrylic - 199 Metal" is the changing of the metal surface nature and the coating formation that has high complex protective properties.

Surface preparation 

Rust surface: clean the rust and old peeling paint with the wire brushthen degrease it with white spirit, thinner UETS or № 647, 646.

New (smooth) metallic surface: for better adhesion, matt it with a sanding or wire brush then degrease it with solvent.

Surface covered with preservative should be degreased with solvent.

Before painting, all surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned up from dust and dirt, degreased with solvent and grounded with the primer “Universalacrylic-199 metal”

Application methods 

Before the enamel usage, mi sot carefully, if necessary dilute it with toluene or solvent № 647, 646.  The enamel is applied with a brush, a roller and a sprayer in 1-2 layers. Coating thickness shouldn’t be less than 100 microns. Enamel drying time at temperature (20 ± 2) ° C is 4-6 hours. The drying time increases if the temperature falls. The temperature regime of the exploitation of the enamel coating ranges from -50 °C to + 90 °C. Enamel coverage rate for one layer of coating, due to the temperature, condition and preparation of the surface, and the material of which the roof is made, are:

For galvanized metal - 70 – 100 g/ m²;

For black metal - 70 - 100 g/ m²;

For metal shingles - 70 – 100 g/ m²;
